FirstPerson Video / Incited Media to produce Immersive Training Simulations
Incited Media, operator of the FirstPerson Immersive Video Technology, announces the signing of a long-term production and post-production deal to create standard and 360-degree training simulations for a major manufacturer of training systems. These systems will train law enforcement officers and government agents in situational awareness and judgmental use-of-force, but could also be used for other types of realistic training simulations. "When existing training systems teach you to face forward and look for a scenario to play out on a single screen, our technology immerses the trainee to face real life conditions with threats emerging from any direction," states Joe Einstein, co-founder of Incited Media. "Statistics show that over 20% of officers are shot in the back. Our training scenarios will raise their awareness of the world around them, and reinforce the fact that bad guys don't always come from the front, and that sometimes multiple threats will occur from multiple directions." The 360-degree simulations will either be displayed via HMDs (Head Mounted Displays) or projected on to large screens surrounding the trainees.
